Frequently Asked Questions
What are angels according to the Bible?
Hebrews 1:14 describes angels as 'ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.' They are created spiritual beings who serve God, deliver messages, protect believers, and execute divine judgment. They are distinct from humans and were not once people who died.
Do people have guardian angels?
Matthew 18:10 suggests children have angels who 'always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.' Psalm 91:11 says God gives His angels charge over His people. While the Bible affirms angelic protection, it does not clearly define a one-to-one guardian angel assignment. The emphasis is on God's care, which angels carry out.
Should Christians pray to or worship angels?
No β Revelation 22:8-9 records an angel refusing worship and directing it to God alone. Colossians 2:18 warns against the worship of angels. Angels are servants of God, not objects of devotion. Christians are to worship God only, while being grateful for the angelic ministry He provides on their behalf.
